Method
- Prepare Your Melting Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate melting wafers according to the package directions. Be sure to stir frequently to prevent burning.
- Assemble the Snowman Body: Dip the top of one donut into the melted white chocolate and attach it to the bottom of another donut. Repeat this process to create a three-donut snowman body.
- Attach Decorations: While the chocolate is still wet, attach the mini chocolate chips for eyes and buttons. Use a small dab of melted chocolate to secure the candy corn nose.
- Add Arms (Optional): If using pretzel sticks for arms, dip one end of each pretzel stick into the melted chocolate and attach them to the sides of the middle donut.
- Decorate with Sprinkles: Use the melted chocolate to attach sprinkles to create hats, scarves, and other decorative elements. Get creative and have fun!
- Let Them Set: Place the finished snowmen on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let the chocolate set completely. This usually takes about 15-20 minutes.
Notes
Don't Overheat the Chocolate: Overheated chocolate can become thick and difficult to work with. Melt it in short intervals and stir frequently. Work Quickly: The melted chocolate will set quickly, so be sure to attach the decorations promptly. Use a Piping Bag or Ziploc Bag: For more precise decorating, transfer the melted chocolate to a piping bag or Ziploc bag with a small corner snipped off. Storage: These Powdered Donut Snowman Treats are best served fresh, but they can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Variations: Use milk chocolate or dark chocolate instead of white chocolate.
