Perfect Turkey Cranberry Sliders

These Turkey Cranberry Sliders are the perfect way to use leftover turkey and cranberry sauce. Soft, buttery slider buns are piled high with juicy turkey, sweet-tart cranberry sauce, and melty cheese for a delicious and easy post-holiday treat. They're sure to be a crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients
  

  • 12 slider buns Hawaiian rolls or your favorite kind
  • 2 cups cooked turkey, shredded or thinly sliced
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce homemade or store-bought
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese, provolone, or brie cut in half
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the slider buns horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms connected.
  3. Place the bottom half of the slider buns on a baking sheet.
  4. Layer the shredded or sliced turkey evenly over the bottom buns.
  5. Spread the cranberry sauce generously over the turkey.
  6. If using cheese, place a half slice of cheese on top of the cranberry sauce on each slider.
  7. Carefully place the top half of the slider buns over the fillings.
  8. In a small mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds (if using), garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  9. Brush the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the slider buns.
  10. Cover the baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  11. Bake for 15 minutes covered.
  12. Remove the foil and bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the buns are golden brown.
  13. Let the sliders cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
  14. Serve warm and enjoy immediately.

Notes

For best results, use leftover roast turkey. Adjust the amount of cranberry sauce based on your sweetness preference. Swiss, provolone, and brie are all excellent cheese choices. Assemble sliders ahead of time and store in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours, brushing with butter mixture just before baking. Leftover sliders can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
