- In a medium-sized bowl or jar, combine the rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt (if using), chia seeds (if using), vanilla extract, maple syrup or honey, and a pinch of salt.
- Stir well to ensure all ingredients are combined.
- Gently fold in the chopped strawberries. Reserve a few for topping, if desired.
- Make sure the strawberries are evenly distributed throughout the oat mixture.
- Cover the bowl or jar tightly with a lid or plastic wrap.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight.
- In the morning (or after at least 2 hours), give the Strawberry Oats a good stir.
- If the oats are too thick for your liking, add a splash of milk to reach your desired consistency.
- Transfer the Strawberry Oats to a serving bowl and top with your favorite toppings, such as additional fresh strawberries, sliced almonds, shredded coconut, or a drizzle of honey.
- Enjoy your delightful and healthy Strawberry Oats!
Notes
If the oats are too thick, add milk to reach desired consistency. Adjust sweetness to taste. To prevent mushy strawberries, add them in the morning. For a vegan version, use plant-based milk and yogurt alternatives, and ensure your sweetener is vegan-friendly. Try variations like adding other berries, cocoa powder and chocolate chips, peanut butter, or coconut milk and shredded coconut.
