Ingredients
  

  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 1 ounce coffee liqueur Kahlúa
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree 100% pumpkin
  • 2 ounces heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree, 1 tablespoon of simple syrup, ¼ teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice, and ¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  2. Whisk vigorously until smooth and well combined.
  3. Fill a rocks glass with ice.
  4. Add 2 ounces of vodka to the glass.
  5. Pour in 1 ounce of coffee liqueur (Kahlúa).
  6. Add the prepared pumpkin mixture to the glass.
  7. Gently pour 2 ounces of heavy cream over the mixture. For a beautiful layered effect, pour it slowly over the back of a spoon.
  8. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  9. Garnish with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon, a cinnamon stick, a dollop of whipped cream, or a dusting of pumpkin pie spice (optional).
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Use high-quality ingredients for the best flavor. Don't overdo the pumpkin pie spice, start with ¼ teaspoon and adjust to your liking. Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup. For a vegan version, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream or cashew cream. To minimize separation, make sure all your ingredients are cold.
