  • Ice cubes
  • Chocolate shavings optional
  • Cocoa powder optional
  • Whipped cream optional

  • Martini glass
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger or measuring spoons

Method

  1. Chill your martini glass in the freezer for at least 15 minutes. Alternatively, fill the glass with ice and set aside while you prepare the drink.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  3. Add the Baileys Irish Cream, vodka (or whiskey), and coffee liqueur to the shaker.
  4. Seal the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds, until well-chilled.
  5. If you pre-chilled your glass with ice, discard the ice.
  6. Strain the mixture into your chilled martini glass, leaving the ice behind in the shaker.
  7. Garnish with chocolate shavings, cocoa powder, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, or coffee beans, as desired.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For a stronger coffee flavor, add a splash more coffee liqueur. Use Irish whiskey instead of vodka for a richer, more intense drink. Add a few drops of peppermint extract for a holiday twist. To avoid a watery Martini, do not over-shake. Salted caramel drizzle, crushed Oreos, or edible glitter can be added for unique garnishes.
