  • 1 cup cranberry juice not cranberry juice cocktail
  • 3/4 cup orange liqueur such as Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • 1/2 cup agave nectar adjust to taste
  • 1/2 cup fresh rosemary simple syrup
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 4 sprigs fresh rosemary, for garnish

Method
 

  1. Make the Rosemary Simple Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine water, sugar, and rosemary sprigs. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let steep for 30 minutes. Remove rosemary sprigs and let cool completely.
  2. Combine the Ingredients: In a large punch bowl or pitcher, combine tequila, lime juice, cranberry juice, orange liqueur, agave nectar, and rosemary simple syrup. Stir well to combine.
  3. Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld. This step is crucial!
  4. Add the Bubbles and Berries: Just before serving, add sparkling water or club soda and cranberries. Stir gently.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs and lime wedges. Serve over ice. Consider using large ice cubes or an ice ring to minimize dilution.

Notes

For less dilution, use large ice cubes or an ice ring. You can also make ice cubes from the punch itself. The punch can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before serving. Adjust the agave nectar to your desired sweetness level.
