Ingredients

  • 1 pound thinly sliced steak ribeye or sirloin
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced optional
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 6-8 low-carb wraps
  • 8 ounces provolone cheese, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter or oil

Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Medium bowl
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Measuring spoons
  • Measuring cups
  • Spatula

Method

  1. Thinly slice the steak against the grain. Thinly slice the onion and bell pepper (if using).
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter or oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook until browned and cooked through, about 3-5 minutes. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the onion and bell pepper (if using) and cook until softened and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  5. Lay out the low-carb wraps on a clean surface. Spread a thin layer of the cream cheese mixture over each wrap.
  6. Top with the cooked steak, onions, and peppers. Add a generous amount of provolone cheese.
  7. Carefully roll up each wrap tightly, tucking in the sides as you roll.
  8. Heat the remaining butter or oil in a clean skillet over medium heat. Place the roll-ups in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and heated through.
  9. Remove from the skillet and let cool slightly. Slice each roll-up into bite-sized pieces and serve immediately.

Notes

Use high-quality steak for the best flavor. Caramelize the onions for an authentic Philly Cheesesteak taste. Don't overfill the wraps to prevent them from falling apart. You can add mushrooms, red pepper flakes, or minced garlic for extra flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
