  • Shredded lettuce optional
  • Sliced tomatoes optional
  • Banana peppers optional
  • Pickled onions optional

Equipment

  • Small bowl
  • Whisk
  • Serrated knife
  • Oven
  • Baking sheet
  • Aluminum foil

Method

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.
  2. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
  3. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Using a serrated knife, carefully slice the slider buns horizontally, keeping the top and bottom halves connected.
  5. Spread half of the Italian dressing evenly over the bottom half of the buns.
  6. Layer the ham, salami, pepperoni, and provolone cheese over the dressing.
  7. Drizzle the remaining Italian dressing over the cheese.
  8. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
  9. Carefully place the top half of the buns back on the sliders.
  10. Cover the entire slider 'sandwich' with aluminum foil.
  11. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and gooey.
  12. Remove the foil and bake for another 3-5 minutes, or until the buns are lightly golden brown.
  13. Remove the sliders from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before slicing them into individual sliders.
  14. If desired, add your favorite toppings like shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, banana peppers, or pickled onions.
  15. Serve warm.

Notes

Hawaiian rolls add a touch of sweetness. To prevent soggy bottoms, try lightly toasting the buns before adding the dressing. Use high-quality deli meats and cheeses for best flavor. For an extra kick, add red pepper flakes or use spicy salami. Provolone can be substituted with mozzarella, fontina, or an Italian cheese blend. The sliders can be assembled ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator. The Italian dressing can be made up to a week in advance. For variations, add roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, or sautéed mushrooms. Brush the top of the buns with garlic butter for garlic bread sliders. Try using capicola, mortadella, or prosciutto. Swap the banana peppers for a hot pepper spread for extra heat.
