- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the mushrooms, minced garlic, chopped thyme, olive oil, balsamic vinegar (if using), salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Spread the mushrooms in a single layer on a baking sheet. Do not overcrowd.
- Roast for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and nicely browned, tossing halfway through.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley (if using) for garnish.
- Serve immediately and enjoy.
Notes
For best results, don't wash the mushrooms unless absolutely necessary; wipe them clean with a damp paper towel. To avoid mushy mushrooms, ensure the pan isn't overcrowded. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or skillet until warmed through. Add red pepper flakes, cheese, lemon zest, or bacon bits for flavor variations.
