  • 1 pound lean ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper or to taste
  • Optional spices: paprika, chili powder, Italian seasoning
  • Chicken broth or tomato sauce optional for moisture

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground chicken to the skillet.

  4. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is no longer pink (about 7-10 minutes) and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  5. If necessary, drain any excess fat from the skillet.

Notes
