  • 1.5 pounds salmon fillet, skin off, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon cold water
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish optional
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the salmon cubes dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  4. In a separate small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and cold water until smooth.
  5. Add the cornstarch slurry to the honey garlic mixture and whisk until well combined.
  6. Arrange the salmon cubes in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush the salmon cubes generously with the honey garlic glaze.
  8. Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.
