- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger (if using), rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Place salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
- Pour honey garlic sauce evenly over the salmon fillets.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions (if using).
