Ingredients

  • 1 large cucumber or 2 smaller
  • 2-3 tablespoons ranch dressing
  • 1-2 teaspoons Everything Bagel seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped or 1 teaspoon dried
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Equipment

  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Medium bowl
  • Measuring spoons
  • Serving bowl or plate
  • Airtight container (for storage)

Method

  1. Wash the cucumber(s) thoroughly. Peel if desired, or leave the skin on for extra crunch.
  2. Slice the cucumber into rounds approximately 1/4 inch thick, or into sticks/spears if preferred.
  3. In a medium bowl, gently toss the cucumber slices with the ranch dressing, ensuring each slice is well coated.
  4. Sprinkle Everything Bagel seasoning, chopped dill (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes (if using) over the cucumbers.
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Toss again to evenly distribute the seasonings.
  7. For best flavor, cover the bowl and chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld (optional).
  8. Transfer to a serving bowl or plate and enjoy immediately.

Notes

For a tangy twist, add a splash of white wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar. Experiment with different ranch flavors or fresh herbs like mint, parsley, or chives. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, but the cucumber may release water over time. Patting the cucumber dry before adding the ranch can help prevent this.
