Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking dish (or similar size).
- In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, buffalo wing sauce, ranch dressing, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder (if using), blue cheese crumbles (if using), and Worcestershire sauce (if using).
- Add the shredded chicken and mix well until everything is evenly combined and there are no lumps of cream cheese.
- Pour the mixture into your prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and the cheese is melted and lightly golden brown.
- Remove the dip from the oven and garnish with the sliced green onions.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dippers such as tortilla chips, celery sticks, carrot sticks, crackers, or pita bread.
Notes
Use softened cream cheese for easy mixing. Don't overbake to avoid a dry, separated dip. Adjust the spice level to your preference by adding cayenne pepper or using a mild buffalo sauce. The dip can be assembled ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. It can also be made in a slow cooker on low for 2-3 hours. Experiment with different cheese blends like pepper jack or Monterey Jack. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the microwave, oven, or on the stovetop. Use leftovers as a spread on sandwiches or to make Buffalo Chicken Quesadillas.
