Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 large flour tortillas burrito size
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • Optional: marinara sauce, pesto, or your favorite dipping sauce
  • Optional: fresh basil leaves, chopped

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring spoons
  • Measuring cups

Method

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the chicken by tossing it with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the chicken pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Be careful not to overcrowd the basket, as this will prevent the chicken from cooking evenly. You may need to cook in batches.
  4. Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink inside. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
  5. Lay out the flour tortillas on a clean surface.
  6. Divide the cooked chicken evenly among the tortillas.
  7. Top the chicken with mozzarella slices.
  8. Optional: Add a spoonful of marinara sauce or pesto to each wrap for extra flavor. A little chopped fresh basil is also a nice touch.
  9. Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it up tightly.
  10. Place the assembled wraps in the air fryer basket, seam-side down. Again, don't overcrowd the basket – work in batches if necessary.
  11. Air fry for 3-5 minutes, or until the wraps are golden brown and the cheese is melted and gooey. Keep a close eye on them to prevent burning.
  12. Remove the wraps from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
  13. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as marinara, ranch, or a creamy garlic sauce.

Notes

For extra crispy wraps, lightly spray them with cooking oil before air frying. Leftover wraps can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the air fryer or microwave. Try variations such as Buffalo Chicken Wraps, BBQ Chicken Wraps, or Spicy Chicken Wraps.
