Method
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the chicken by tossing it with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Place the chicken pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Be careful not to overcrowd the basket, as this will prevent the chicken from cooking evenly. You may need to cook in batches.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink inside. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Lay out the flour tortillas on a clean surface.
- Divide the cooked chicken evenly among the tortillas.
- Top the chicken with mozzarella slices.
- Optional: Add a spoonful of marinara sauce or pesto to each wrap for extra flavor. A little chopped fresh basil is also a nice touch.
- Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it up tightly.
- Place the assembled wraps in the air fryer basket, seam-side down. Again, don't overcrowd the basket – work in batches if necessary.
- Air fry for 3-5 minutes, or until the wraps are golden brown and the cheese is melted and gooey. Keep a close eye on them to prevent burning.
- Remove the wraps from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as marinara, ranch, or a creamy garlic sauce.
Notes
For extra crispy wraps, lightly spray them with cooking oil before air frying. Leftover wraps can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the air fryer or microwave. Try variations such as Buffalo Chicken Wraps, BBQ Chicken Wraps, or Spicy Chicken Wraps.
