You’re only 3 ingredients away from these crispy, salty bites. They make easy party food for adults and kids alike. Defrosting the potato gems makes it easier to secure the bacon with the toothpicks.

3 Ingredients


  • 24 potato gems, defrosted

  • 6 rashers streaky bacon, quartered

  • Tomato salsa, to serve (optional)

3 Method Steps


  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 180C/160C fan-forced. Line a large baking tray with baking paper.

  • Step 2

    Wrap a piece of bacon

    (6 rashers streaky bacon, quartered) around a potato gem (24 potato gems, defrosted). Secure with a toothpick. Transfer to the prepared tray. Continue with the remaining potato gems and bacon pieces. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden.


  • Step 3

    Transfer the bites to a serving platter or bowl and serve with tomato salsa (Tomato salsa, to serve (optional)), if using.
