Choc-mint ice ‘magic’ topping

Remember the Ice Magic you loved so much as a kid? We’ve got the recipe for a homemade peppermint and white chocolate version that’s easy to make, requires few ingredients and tastes delicious. And yes – it hardens on your ice-cream, just like the real deal.

  • 100g white chocolate, melted

  • 1 1/2 tbsp coconut oil, melted

  • 1 tsp peppermint essence

  • 1-2 drops green food colouring

  • Chocolate ice-cream, to serve

  • Step 1

    Place chocolate

    (100g white chocolate, melted) and coconut oil (1 1/2 tbsp coconut oil, melted) in a medium bowl. Stir until combined.

  • Step 2

    Add peppermint essence (1 tsp peppermint essence) and green food colouring (1-2 drops green food colouring) to chocolate mixture. Stir until combined.

  • Step 3

    Scoop ice-cream into bowl. Drizzle chocolate mixture over ice-cream. The mixture will harden in 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Serve.
