Brigadeiros (Brazilian fudge balls)

Made using just four ingredients, these fudgy Brazilian treats are perfect for special occasions!

4 Ingredients

  • 30g butter

  • 30g (1 ⁄4 cup) cocoa powder

  • 395g can sweetened condensed milk

  • Chocolate or coloured sprinkles, to coat

3 Method Steps

  • Step 1

    Grease a plate with butter
    (30g butter)
    . Melt the 30g butter in a non-stick frying pan over low heat. Add the cocoa
    (30g (1 ⁄4 cup) cocoa powder)
    and condensed milk
    (395g can sweetened condensed milk)
    to the pan. Stir until combined.

  • Step 2

    Cook, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon or silicone spatula, for 10 minutes or until the mixture is very thick. (It should stay separated for a few seconds when you run the spoon across the bottom of the pan.) Pour onto prepared plate. Place in the fridge for 2 hours or until chilled and fairly firm.

  • Step 3

    Spread sprinkles over a plate. Use oiled hands to roll 3 level teaspoonfuls of mixture into balls. Roll the fudge balls in sprinkles
    (Chocolate or coloured sprinkles, to coat)
    and arrange in small paper cases to serve.
