Air fryer Caramilk cinnamon rolls

We made cheat’s cinnamon scrolls by sprinkling store-bought croissant dough with cinnamon sugar, rolling, up, cutting and air frying. (Did we mention we topped them with custard, melted Caramilk chocolate and crushed Crunchy Nut corn flakes too? They’re quick, they’re easy, they’re absolutely delicious!

  • 360g pkt store-bought bake at home croissants, thawed

  • 1/3 cup cinnamon sugar

  • 100g Caramilk chocolate, melted, cooled

  • 100ml vanilla custard

  • 1/2 cup Crunchy Nut cornflakes, lightly crushed

4 Method Steps


  • Step 1

    Roll out croissants

    (360g pkt store-bought bake at home croissants, thawed) and place shiny-side up on a flat surface, gently stretching the dough. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar (1/3 cup cinnamon sugar). Roll up and cut in half. Place cut-side down and insert your index finger into the centre to flatten and stretch the scroll.


  • Step 2

    Arrange scrolls, cut-side down, into the basket of an air fryer, allowing for a 1cm gap between each scroll. You may need to do this in 2 batches.

  • Step 3

    Air fry at 170C for 7 minutes or until golden. Leave to sit in the hot air fryer for a further 5 minutes (see note). Transfer to a serving plate.

  • Step 4

    Drizzle with Caramilk (100g Caramilk chocolate, melted, cooled) and custard (100ml vanilla custard), and sprinkle over Crunchy Nut (1/2 cup Crunchy Nut cornflakes, lightly crushed) corn flakes.

Recipe Notes

Note: Leaving the scrolls to sit for a further 5 minutes helps to finish cooking them through.
