  • Step 1

    Preheat a 7-litre air fryer to 200C for 3 minutes (see tips). Place half of the bacon

  • Step 2

    Cook, turning halfway, for 10 minutes or until golden and crisp. repeat with the remaining bacon.

Recipe Notes

For air fryer brown sugar & maple bacon, combine 55g (1/4 cup, firmly packed) brown sugar and 2 tablespoons of maple syrup in a small bowl. Brush the top-side of 12 rashers of bacon with maple mixture. Place half of the bacon, maple-side up, in a single layer in the basket. Cook for 10 mins or until golden and crisp. Repeat with the remaining bacon.

TIPS

The air fryer may smoke when you cook the bacon. To prevent this, add about 125ml (1/2 cup) of water to the base of the pan before cooking the bacon. You can also add a slice of bread to the base of the pan, as this will absorb excess fat – but don’t let it burn!
