Hello and welcome! I’m Emma Wilson.

I am the founder, photographer, and chief recipe developer here at The Recipes Mom. If you are looking for the person who gets excited about finding the perfect lighting for a chocolate cake or analyzing which pasta sauce you guys loved the most last month—that’s me.

From Boardrooms to Baking Sheets
By profession, I am a Digital Marketer. My days are filled with emails, strategy meetings, and analyzing data. It’s a fast-paced world that I love, but it can also be incredibly draining.
For years, cooking was my escape. After staring at a screen all day, chopping vegetables or kneading dough became my meditation. However, working a full-time job taught me a hard lesson: time is a luxury. I didn’t have three hours to prepare dinner on a Tuesday night, and I knew most of you didn’t either.

Why “The Recipes Mom”?
I often get asked about the name of the site since I am not a mom myself yet.
I named this space The Recipes Mom as a heartfelt tribute to my own mother. She was the queen of the kitchen, capable of whipping up a feast with just a few ingredients. She taught me that food is the glue that holds families together.
I wanted to recreate that “mom-made” feeling—warm, comforting, and reliable—but adapted for the modern, busy woman (or man!) who works 9-to-5 and needs dinner on the table in 30 minutes.

My Culinary Philosophy
I believe that “quick” doesn’t have to mean “processed.”

  • Fresh over Fancy: I prefer using fresh herbs and good produce rather than expensive, hard-to-find ingredients.
  • The “One-Pot” Rule: I hate doing dishes. If a recipe can be made in one pot or one sheet pan, it’s instantly my favorite.
  • Fail-Proofing: Because of my analytical background, I test my recipes multiple times. I want to make sure that if I say “bake for 20 minutes,” it really is 20 minutes.

A Few of My Favorite Things:

  • Go-To Comfort Food: Creamy Garlic Mashed Potatoes.
  • Kitchen Gadget I Can’t Live Without: My air fryer (it changed my life!).
  • When I’m Not Cooking: You can find me reading about the latest SEO trends, hiking, or exploring local farmers’ markets for inspiration.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Whether you are here for a quick dinner idea or a holiday dessert, I am honored to cook with you.
